Lappland Trip

Dear all!
I'm safe back home from Lappland. The last couple of days I went to Kiruna, about 250 km north of the polar circle. It was something of the best I have experienced in my life! Damn cold but simply beautiful. Even though the weather was mostly clear in the night, we didn't see any Northern light... Conclusion: I have to go again :-)

I bi wider sicher däheime! Ha die letschte Täg ä Trip nach Lappland (Kiruna) gmacht. Das ligt 250 km nördlech vom Polarkreis... Es isch öppis vom iidrücklechschte woni je erläbt ha! Zimli chaut, aber landschaftlech öppis vom auerischönschte! Obwohls mehrheitlech klar isch gsy ide Nächt und mir jewile dr Wecker mehreri mal hei la lüte, heimr d Nordliechter nid gseh... Henu, de hani scho mau e guete Grund wider mau z ga! :-)
I wott iz hie gar nid z viu schribe, es git drfür zu jedem Foto e chlini Beschribig. Gniesset d Fotos!

After a night in the youth hostel, we went to the outback trip. My first time on a dog-sledge, Great experience and fun to drive!

And on the last day we visited the Iehotel. Absolutely great and I recommend it to everybody!

Am letschtä Tag simr när no z bekannte Icehotel ga aaluge. Sehr iidrücklech und i chas wermschtens empfähle!

During the day, the guests have to leave their suites and the whole hotel is an art exhibition. Each suite is designed by an other international artist!

Düre Tag müesse d Gescht ihrer Suitene verla und z Hotel isch es Museum. Jedi Suite isch vome angere internationale Künstler gmacht worde!

Unfortunately, there were no stand-by tix available for the trip back home. So, we had to take the train to Stockholm... and then the Bus to Linköping where my car has been taken care of by Elin ;-) Tack älskling ;-) Net travel time Kiruna-Boras by train/bus/car: over 25 hrs...

Leider heimr kener Rückflug standby Tickets meh becho... Mir hei de haut d Alternative "Zug" gwählt. Zug bis Stockholm und när dr Bus nach Linköping wo d Elin mis Outo di letschtä Täg ghüetet het. Netto Reisezyt Landwäg Kiruna-Boras: über 25 Stund...

17 hours train trip PLUS 2 hrs 30 min delay.... to much for a little Swissie ;-) And I still don't like to sleep on trains ;-)
